The filter unit works by gradually passing tap water through a porous ceramic structure made from natural materials, helping reduce impurities while delivering clean, plastic-free drinking water. During the first days of use, filtration is slower as the pores begin to open, and you may notice a slight clay taste at first, this is normal and safe.

For the Ecofiltro [5L / 20L] system, the filter unit is designed to work together with the storage container as part of a staged filtration process rather than filtering the full system capacity in one cycle.

To keep your filter unit performing at its best, clean it every 3 to 6 months using only filtered water and a new soft sponge or clean cloth. Never use soap, bleach, or abrasive materials, avoid direct sunlight, and always handle the unit by the edges with clean hands.

For optimal filtration performance, replace the filter unit every 2 years.
